My goal is to spend more time in the present. When I take pictures whatever I am focusing on has 100% of my attention. I can not dwell in the past or the future. Photography makes me pay attention to the beauty in the world and in the everyday. I am my best early in the morning and photography gives me the excuse to get outside to breathe in the early morning air, the views, the sounds and the smells. I feel alive when I am noticing what is around me.
